President - Patrice C. Boyles, Ed. D.

Dr. Patrice C. Boyles received her doctorate in Adult, Counseling and Higher Education from Northern Illinois University. She also earned a MS in Occupational Education and a BA in Business Administration from Chicago State University (CSU). She is an Associate Professor at Chicago State University, with the responsibility as a Program Coordinator for Career and Technical Education Programs; teaching courses related to Technology and Education, Special Education, Introduction to Teaching, and Educational Leadership. Dr. Boyles has been in the teaching sector for over 17 years and is committed to helping students achieve their academic goals.

Dr. Boyles began her teaching career while pursuing her graduate degree at CSU. Her leadership qualities and passion for learning were recognized, and she accepted a position as a graduate assistant. As a Graduate Assistant, she was responsible for developing, presenting technology workshops and assisting her peers. As her career evolved, she has held positions as Lecturer, Acting Chairperson, and Assistant Professor respectfully.

Dr. Boyles is committed to her profession and has received many honors which include: the North Central Business Association University Business Teacher Distinguished Service Award, Illinois Business Education Association Collegiate Teacher of the Year, Distinguished Educator Award, and Scholar of Illinois Career and Technical Education Leadership Institute Award. She was the recipient of the Dean's Professional Initiative and the Co-recipient of the Illinois University council of funded grant, both honors totaling ten thousand dollars.

Dr. Boyles enjoys mentoring students and helping them navigate through the educational system. She encourages them to tap into the resources that are available to them, and to seek the assistance they need to help them succeed.
