Vice President Priscilla M. Palmer, Ed. D.

Dr. Palmer received her Doctorate in Educational Leadership (University of Illinois), and her Degree in Educational Administration, Masters of Science in Education in Education-Language Arts, and Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education (Eastern Illinois University). She currently serves as the Testing Specialist, and also teaches Developmental English and Education courses at Richland Community College in Decatur, IL. Dr. Palmer holds several certifications: Illinois Administrative (Type 75) K-12, Superintendent and General Administrative; Illinois Standard special (Type 10) K-12 in Language Arts, and Illinois Elementary (Type 3) K-9 Teaching.

Dr. Palmer's impressive professional experience spans several areas of the Educational spectrum from teaching to administrative to consulting to publishing. She has served in the Lecture Field, as Practitioner Faculty, Reading First Consultant District Title I Specialist, Superintendent, Adjunct Professor-Educational Administration, Research Consultant/Grant Writer, Dean of Students, and Adjunct Teacher. She has presented workshops at National and State organizational conferences and Illinois school districts.

Dr. Palmer has received many honors and awards; holds memberships in several professional organizations and is actively involved in several community service organizations. She is Secretary of the Decatur Library Board of Trustees, Secretary of the Board of the Decatur Boys and Girls Club and Vice-President of the Decatur Chapter of Altursa International. She is also a member of the Springfield-Decatur Area chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc., and President of Sigma Alpha Lota, Decatur Alumnae Chapter.
